The short version: H₂O Timer collects nothing about you automatically. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no background tracking. Everything the app does stays on your Apple Watch and iPhone unless you manually choose to send us diagnostic data. This policy explains that in full.
By default, nothing. H₂O Timer does not automatically collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers, because H₂O Timer has no servers. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, crash-reporting services, or any third-party tracking of any kind.
The only exception is diagnostic data, and only if you ask us to send it — see below.
H₂O Timer includes an optional feature that lets you manually send us diagnostic data, for example to help us troubleshoot a problem you’re reporting. This upload never happens automatically or in the background — it is sent only when you explicitly tap the option to send it. Diagnostic data may include information like device and app version, and app logs relevant to the issue. We use it solely to investigate and fix problems, and do not sell it, share it, or use it for marketing.

duration / remaining — the timer’s length and, if canceled, how
much time was left, both in seconds.kind / date — whether the timer completed or was canceled, and
when.id — a random identifier generated fresh for each timer so events
don’t collide with each other. It isn’t a device ID, account ID, or
advertising identifier — it’s useless to us for identifying or tracking
who you are.source — an internal debug string noting the elapsed time and
whether the app was active or backgrounded when a timer was canceled, used
only to chase down cancel-timing bugs.app — OS version, app version/build, platform, and locale (language
and region), used only to reproduce the bug you’re reporting.Your timers and history — the durations you set and the record of completed or cancelled timers — are stored only on your device, inside the app’s private storage. This information stays on your Apple Watch and iPhone and is never sent to us or to anyone else, unless you manually trigger a diagnostic upload as described above. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
H₂O Timer is a simple countdown timer. It does not read from or write to Apple Health, and it does not access HealthKit.
H₂O Timer uses local notifications and haptics to alert you when a timer finishes. These are scheduled entirely on your device by watchOS. They do not involve our servers and are not push notifications sent from us.
If you email us through the support page, we receive the message, email address, and any details you choose to include, solely so we can reply to you. We use this only to respond to your request and do not sell it, share it, or use it for marketing. Support messages are delivered to us by email through our email provider and are not used for any other purpose.
H₂O Timer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Because the app collects no data, we expect changes to be rare.
